In the TV series there were 13 Doctors depicted prior to 2014. In addition, a "clone" of the Tenth Doctor, known as the Meta-Crisis Doctor, appeared in one episode. There were also two films produced in the mid-1960s in which Peter Cushing portrayed a character named Dr. Who, but this was not the Doctor. There was also a character in the "The Trial of a Time Lord" arc called the Valeyard who was revealed as being an unspecified future incarnation of the Doctor. And in "The Day of the Doctor", Tom Baker appeared as a man identified as The Curator, who is implied to be a future incarnation as well, who happens to look similar to the Fourth Doctor.
