If you want to ask questions needing speculation or people's opinions, please do it in our Watercooler forum, not here. The main Q&A space is for questions with definitive factual answers. Thanks!

Haw many classic episodes have there been?

From "An Unearthly Child" to The TV Movie there were 156 stories. Stories are a collection of linked episodes that share the same title (this was not the case in the first two seasons and most of season 3). Most stories were 4 episodes, though were anywhere between 1 and 14 episodes. There were multiple stories of lengths between 2 and 7 episodes. Each episode was 25 minutes, apart from Ressurection of the Daleks and Season 22, which had episodes of 45 minutes. "The Five Doctors" was 90 minute, and the TV movie was 89 minutes. This figure counts the Trial of a Time Lord as 1 story, and does not include "Shada", which was unfinished. For the exact number of episodes, feel free to count them story by story.
