Reason for deletion Edit

I tagged this question for deletion because it cannot be answered. Firstly, it would require updating everytime the Doctor gets a new female companion and secondly, "who" counts as a companion? Does Liz Shaw count even though she didn't travel in the TARDIS? Does Sara Kingdom count? Do one off companions like Astrid Peth count? What about Rosita and Madge Arwell? Is Abigail from "A Christmas Carol" a companion? Even if we could answer this question, we'd be stuck with a big list. There was a similar question that got deleted so I'm basing my reasons from that one. 121.223.18.213 04:15, March 22, 2013 (UTC)

  • I concur. Someone removed the delete tag and tried to answer it, but it still violates Doctor Who Answers:Policies#Vague/Can Change Meaning Over Time, so I reinstated the delete tag. The question cannot be answered until the very last Doctor Who story is told and an absolute definition of companion is agreed upon, neither of which I expect to see happen in the near future. 70.72.211.35 19:49, March 22, 2013 (UTC)

The attempted answer itself shows that the question is too vague -- what makes someone a "companion"? -- as well as changing (increasing) over time. --92.19.170.124 20:12, March 22, 2013 (UTC)
