Amy does not get her baby (Melody Pond) back. Instead, she first learns, near the end of "A Good Man Goes to War", that River Song is Melody grown to an adult & then also learns, in "Let's Kill Hitler", that Amy's childhood friend Mels, after whom the baby was named, was also Melody -- as was the little girl in the orphanage in "Day of the Moon".
