The mini-episode arc Night and the Doctor (produced for the Series 6 DVD/Blu-ray sets) establishes that the Doctor and River experienced adventures on their own while Amy and Rory were asleep. Presumably, then, Eternity Clock takes place during one of these events, presumably prior to "The Wedding of River Song" though not necessarily.

  • The Eleventh Doctor travelled on his own for nearly 200 years between "The God Complex" and "Closing Time". So it could fit in there.
