Every Doctor who wasn't the "present" Doctor had effectively crossed his own timestream, and was seeing his own future. When they returned to their own place in the Doctor's overall timestream they would forget anything that was for all intents and purposes their own future.

(Unfortunately this has not been uniformly applied. In "Time Crash" the Tenth Doctor remembered events that had occurred from the Fifth Doctor's perspective.)
